“For thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory…”
He was there in the room. No painting had ever captured His happy eyes and bright, goofy smile.
“It’s you,” Isabel said, feeling the brillance of God’s power coming from Him. He held it back, in order to shield her human self from it’s full force.
Jesus was wearing blue jeans, just the way He had so many years ago as she lay at the point of death. His hair was not Marine short anymore. It was a little longer and shaggier. He’d grown his facial hair out. Instead of being clean shaven, as in his previous Visitation, He was sporting a 5pm shadow thing. The shirt was what started Isabel laughing. It was sky-blue, printed with loaves of bread on it, interspersed with the Wonder Bread logo. Isabel was helpless with laughter.
“You crack me up!” she giggled, “Where’d you get that shirt?”
“I like this shirt! It’s so…me. Could start a trend! You know, like GQ.”
Jesus and Isabel laughed harder. They laughed a long, long time. Robyn watched with astonishment. Nothing could have prepared her for this. He was God. He was human. And He was so funny.
“Robyn? Come to me.” Robyn left her prison and fell in front of him.
He lifted her up and He said,” There’s someone I’d like you to meet. Imi?”
A little lady peaked around his chest. “You prayed to my son everyday.”
“She prayed to you, everyday, too!”, He hooted.
“My Lord.” said Robyn.
