In the Dark
This is a very special painting for me. It’s about friendship. You know how there’s always that one person who, when the chips are down, comes through. The lovely lady in green has just had the worst day of her life. Has she lost her home? Her job? Her love? Her eyes swim with tears. Her friend, the beauty in pink, has come to drag her out to Mardi Gras no matter what. Mardi Gras costume on. Wigs in place. Warpaint on to be sure. Her friend even remembered a rose. And so they’ll go out and have the best time they can even if it kills them. This painting is a tribute to the good friends who walk with you in the bad times.
