Golden Buffleheads and Decoys

A Bufflehead is a sea duck  and they come to my pond in the early spring for about three days every year. Yesterday, we went to Bass Pro to buy decoys to set in the pond to attract more ducks to the pond. Don’t get me wrong, we’re not going to shoot them. We just want to make our pond life more diverse. It’s good and cold outside and hard to imagine that spring is close at all, but the buffleheads should be here in about 2 weeks, so we’ll set our new decoys out this week and let the bug feasting begin!
