All my grandparents were immigrants. Often, l hear people say,"Why don't we do (whatever) in America like they do it in (Great Britain, Sweden, wherever)?"  Guys! The reason we're here in the States is BECAUSE we couldn't do it the way they did it in GB,Sweden or wherever. We were so unsuited to life in the Old Country, we were encouraged to leave or were kicked out. My own folks were from Ireland. What do you have to do to get kicked out of Ireland? I shudder to think.
