Back to Georgia

The air has started rumbling with hot and cold winds and the rain has finally started. Nothing beats that satisfying drip from the leaves on the trees in the dark after a long drought. The purples and greens that color the sky in severe weather deserve painting. The electricity in the night air will prevent me. Since I was very little I have given full attention to thunderstorms. They’re so exhilarating, smell and feel great, cost nothing and have absolutely no calories. I can’t think of too many things I can say that about. Tomorrow after the rain has slowed, I will finish painting the quenched violets and ferns in the shade. Georgia almost paints itself.
