The Play of Gray

My family routinely told me that I must have been a gypsy in my former life. I could not wear enough different colors when I was a kid. My passion is still for vivid color palettes. When I experiment with more muted tones, My sister will walk past and ask me if I am depressed. Most tones a person sees in real life are toned with some gray.

Painting with grays requires discipline and organization. Controlling the brush full of high intensity color has always been a problem. I am going to try for a new gentleness and see if it opens new possibilities.
